Arrival to the city of Cusco, assistance, and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, exclusive stroll in the city starting with Plaza de San Cristóbal for panoramic views. Visit San Pedro Market to absorb local flavors, then explore the magnificent Qorikancha Temple with walls once covered in gold. Walk through San Blas artisans' neighborhood down Hatun Rumiyoc street, admiring the famous Twelve Angled Stone and visit the Plaza de Armas Cathedral.
Leave behind the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel with colossal constructions surrounded by beautiful landscape. Continue to the Inca adoratory of Q'enqo with its surprising altar for sacrifices, then arrive at Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay, a monument of notable architectural excellence considered one of the pillars of Andean cosmovision.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas welcomes us today. Visit the beautiful Inca village of Pisac, one of the most stunning archaeological sites with great views of the colonial village below. Tour the Inkariy Museum with exhibits of pre-Hispanic cultures, then visit Yucay Live Culture Center where locals demonstrate traditional weaving, adobe making, chicha preparation, and encounter with Andean camels: llamas and alpacas.
Discover the marvelous Inca Terraces of Moray, an agricultural laboratory recreating 20 different microclimates. Continue to Maras village to tour the famous ancient salt mines still exploited since immemorial times. The contrast between white wells and clayey land creates a perfect photography landscape. Tour Ollantaytambo's streets, plazas and terraces - the last living Inca village, then board the train to Machu Picchu town.
The much-awaited day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Board the selected train from Ollantaytambo station, then take a bus up the winding road with spectacular views of the Urubamba River canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, greets us with incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites and urban areas. Energy exudes from the whole place. After lunch, return by train to Cusco.
Embark on a great adventure to Rainbow Mountain, Vinicunca. Early morning departure by van through Valle Sur to Cusipata village for breakfast. Ascend via community dirt road to 4,800 m.a.s.l., then start a 4km hike observing the snowcapped Ausangate mountain range. Your guide will teach proper altitude walking techniques. The colorfully striped mountains appear gradually until reaching the observation point at 5000 m.a.s.l. where Vinicunca reveals its geological splendor.
