Itinerary Overview

DAY 1 / WED - Milan
Arrival in Milan

Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! We'll transfer you to the hotel and you'll have some free time. In the afternoon, you'll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

DAY 2 / THU - Milan - Lake Region - Verona
Italian Lakes & Romantic Verona

Today we'll see one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Europe, the region of the Italian Lakes. First, we'll travel to Lake Orta in Orta San Giulio, a well-preserved medieval city. We'll take a train ride to reach the medieval center of the town and then a boat to the Island of San Giulio, a little island on the lake with a monastery. After this, we'll go on to Lake Maggiore, making a stop in Stresa, where we'll have the option to visit the Borromean Islands. The highlight is Isola Bella, featuring its gardens and palace (closed in the winter). We'll have some time for lunch and then we'll head to Verona.

DAY 3 / FRI - Verona - Venice
The Enchanting City of Canals

We'll have time to explore Verona, the enchanting city of Romeo and Juliet, before departing for Venice, arriving around 01:00 p.m. A delightful boat trip to St. Mark's Square is included, followed by a guided walking tour of the City of Canals, including a visit to see Murano glasswork. Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time—perhaps a gondola ride? Accommodation will be in the Mestre district.

DAY 4 / SAT - Venice - Padua - San Marino - Gubbio - Perugia
Historic Cities & San Marino

We'll embark on our journey to Padua, a revered destination for many pilgrims, where we'll visit the magnificent Saint's Basilica. Our adventure will continue to the stunning Adriatic coast, bringing us to San Marino, a charming independent country perched atop a fortified mount. Then we'll journey to Gubbio, another delightful historic town. We'll end the day in Perugia, famous for being the city of chocolate.

DAY 5 / SUN - Perugia - Assisi - Naples
Medieval Cities & Journey South

The day begins with a panoramic tour of Perugia, described as a beautiful historic city and "the city of chocolate." The tour includes ascending via moving walkways to explore its medieval underground city, stone-paved streets, and charming squares. Afterwards, the group heads to Assisi for lunch and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis. In the afternoon, the journey continues south, with potential stops in Rome to drop off passengers. The day concludes with arrival in Naples in the evening.

DAY 6 / MON - Naples - Capri - Sorrento - Salerno
The Island of Capri & Amalfi Coast

After breakfast, the group departs from the port of Naples by ferry to the Island of Capri. On Capri, it's recommended to take the funicular up to Capri town to stroll and enjoy the stunning views. After lunch, the group reboards and heads to Sorrento, described as a charming tourist town nestled at the base of a cliff, with free time to wander. The journey then proceeds to the Gulf of Salerno, with an overnight stay in the city of Salerno.

DAY 7 / TUE - Salerno - Pompeii - Naples - Cassino - Rome
Pompeii & Return to Rome

The day starts with a visit to Pompeii, offering a chance to admire the remains of the ancient Roman city buried by the ashes of Mount Vesuvius. Tickets and a guided tour are included. Afterward, the tour heads to Naples, highlighted as one of Italy's most captivating cities and among Europe's oldest continuously inhabited areas. Its historic quarter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Time is allocated for exploration and lunch. The journey then continues to Cassino, where visitors can see a breathtaking abbey, the site of one of World War II's fiercest battles. The day concludes with arrival in Rome in the evening.

DAY 8 / WED - Rome
Departure

After breakfast, the journey comes to an end, promising wonderful lasting memories. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
